San Vigilio belongs, together with Bruneck and Olang, to one of the 3 main villages, with direct access to Europe's ski mountain no. 1, the Plan de Corones with its 119 kilometres of slopes and 32 lifts. A ski lift and piste takes you to Pikolein/St.Martin in Thurn from where a ski bus ensures the connection to the "ALTA BADIA" ski area. This connection offers numerous other leisure possibilities, such as the experience of the "MARMOLADA" or the "SELLARONDA" ski and bike tour. In summer, numerous hiking trails and mountain bike tours lead from the village to the third largest nature park in the country
