The Canal Port is the main axis around which the historical centre of Cesenatico rises, and on whose quays the social life and the walk of citizens and tourists still takes place. The port, in its innermost section, still follows the lines drawn in 1502 by Leonardo Da Vinci, called by Cesare Borgia to suggest improvements to the existing port. Along the port there are still important monuments and places of interest: Piazza Pisacane with the monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi and his solemn inscription; the 19th century fish market, behind which there is the piazzetta delle Erbe and then the piazzetta delle Conserve; Piazza Ciceruacchio, where the perimeter of the ancient Pretoria Tower, which once defended the port from the barbarian pirates, is traced; the remains of the original quays with pile-dwellings. In the most recent section, near the lighthouse, the imposing gates of Vinci now defend the town from the sea storms: a realization of modern technology carried out following the example of Leonardo's projects. The innermost section of the Porto Canale houses the MUSEO GALLEGGIANTE DELLA MARINERIA. As a crucial point of the town, there are many events that take place here: festivals and gastronomic festivals, the Cuccagna dell'Adriatico, the Nativity of the Marine.

Commission Details

The property brokerage engagement with “FCF real estate srl.” (an affiliate of Engel & Völkers Italia S.r.l.) and/or use of the services listed in our brochure or the property for sale on our property cards are governed by a specific agreement and pertinent clauses. The consideration (commission) payable by the Buyer/Landlord for our services, plus VAT at the legal rate, is 4% of the sale price of a property or 10% of a yearly rent.
If a sale is made, our right to commission arises as soon as the Buyer is informed that the Seller has accepted the offer; in case of property to let, our right to commission arises as soon as the person seeking to rent a property is informed that the Landlord has agreed to let the property to them. The commission must be paid as soon as the parties sign the preliminary sale agreement (compromesso) or the rental agreement as the case may be. The Buyer shall pay the contract registration fees, VAT, if due, notary public expenses, stamp duty, land registration and mortgage charges and any other expenses or taxes pro tempore in force at the time. FCF real estate srl. shall not be held liable in any way for any of the information published in its advertising material since such information is given to the agency by Sellers/Landlords and/or professionals said Sellers/Landlords engage thereto. The agency considers such information true and correct; if any information is missing, inaccurate or not current the foregoing people alone shall be liable. The Seller/Landlord may sell/let the property to third parties before an offer is accepted. You are kindly asked to inform the agency promptly if the property on offer is already known to and/or has already been surveyed by another estate agents.
