Kastelruth-Seis am Schlern: Location and surroundings of this property

The picturesque village Siusi allo Sciliar is a fraction of the municipality Castelrotto, home place of the famous Kastelruther Spatzen and lies 1004 meters above sea level at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi, where the Sciliar forms the gate to the Dolomites. Already in the 19th century artists and high nobility went on holiday to the small mountain village. The centre in which cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as a primary school and a nursery school are located, is only a few minutes walking away from the apartment. From Siusi it is possible to reach the Alpe di Siusi, the largest and highest alpine pasture in Europe, with regular buses and a modern cable car, where hikers, climbers and mountain bikers can enjoy their sport to the fullest in summer and skiers and snowboarders in winter. The skiing area Alpe di Siusi is connected to the skiing area Val Gardena; together there are 175 km of slopes for every taste and 80 mountain lifts. Nestled between woods, farms at the foot of the Sciliar massif, there is also a challenging and varied golf course with breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and an impressive mountain scenery, the lake of Fie refreshes on hot summer days. Excursions to the state capital or to places worth seeing such as Bressanone and Chiusa, which can be reached in approx. 30 minutes driving time, are also popular.
