What you should know about this property

Amenities and special features of this property

Between the meanders drawn by the turn of the century and the Adige lies the villa. The style of the building can be described as rural and stately. Its origins date back at least to 1600, when it belonged to the warrior counts, a noble family from Verona. Later, the palace passed to the Rizzardi family, who were also known in the Veronese environment of that time. The Rizzardi family remained in possession of the villa until the 1980s. From 1600 to 1816 the castle remained essentially a holiday home in the countryside with numerous farms. Only later will the villa be enhanced by the original and elegant Gothic-Eastern façade. It is also assumed that in this early period of its history the villa was probably used not only as a secondary residence, but even as an animal shelter and for storing grain and flour.
In fact, the structure of the villa, at this time, can not be traced back to that of a traditional Venetian villa in the country. The villa represents a complex and structured whole. In fact, it is an autonomous unit that bases its self-sufficiency on a very close and symbiotic connection with the surrounding countryside and the waters of the Adige behind the fence. The appearance of the villa has been modified to correspond to what we see today between 1816 and 1846, in connection with a historical event which, however, contains no written evidence. But it was precisely because of this unknown event that the imposing Gothic-vegetarian façade we know of was built. These structural changes increase the perception of the value associated with the palace because they make it magnificent and, above all, are in perfect visual balance with its surroundings. The large complex retains its original structure on a global scale. Where the west wing housed the stables and barns between the farmhouses, the central part was used for storage and warehousing, while the east wing was the farmer's home.

Brentino Belluno / Rivalta (VR): Location and surroundings of this property

To the north-east of Verona, just beyond the beginning of Valdadige, and now on the border with the province of Trento, the property is located in the territory of the municipality of Brentino Belluno.
The theritory is close to the Monte Baldo massif and on the right bank of the Adige river.
From the lowest point, 106 meters above sea level, the territory rises up to 1019 meters, bordering to the south with Rivoli, to the west with Caprino and Ferrara Monte Baldo, to the north with Avio and to the east, as already mentioned, with the Adige.

To arrive from the south take the Modena-Brennero motorway and exit at Ala-Avio, from the north exit at Affi. From here take the provincial road 11 of the Val d'Adige.
Then follow the signs for Rivalta where the town hall is located. The municipality of Brentino Belluno is divided into four hamlets that overlook the axis of the Adige river.
