Amenities and special features of this house

Casale Villarena developed in the seventeenth century around a pre-existing late medieval nucleus. Originally it was the center of agricultural activities and in particular it became famous for the almost exclusive cultivation of lemons. The Casale was also a noble country residence of the Farisani family who provided to give the structure much of its current structure. Then it passed to the Cerulli family, originally from Calabria, who kept it from the end of the eighteenth century until the end of the nineteenth century, when this passed, by testamentary disposition of Donna Luisa Cerulli, to the La Via original family of Cahors in Quecy in France. The residence then became the marine residence of the Marquis of Villarena from 1904 to 1988, with the exception of a few decades in the middle of the century when the building housed the Immaculate nuns as a convent. Since 1985 the Dimora has been completely renovated by the current owner in the last few years, with passion and in full respect of the original architecture, in the colors and decorations, transforming it from a countryhouse to the current Tourist / Accommodation Complex while maintaining the idea of a luxurious private residence. Nothing excludes that Casale Villarena can be attractive as a private residence, avoiding tourist activity.

Commission Details
