In this legendary world of majestic peaks at the foot of the Mountain Baranci in the Unesco Dolomite region of the Three Peaks lies the charming village of San Candido. The market town in Alta Pusteria has about 3352 inhabitants and has developed out of a Celtic settlement that dates back to the 4th century. Today this lively village offers a lot of nature and opportunities for leisure activities such as a mini golf course, fun bob course, various mountain bike routes or the adventure pool "Aquafun". As a winter sports paradise, near the Center of Innichen there is the ski area Haunold with slope up to the village. There is also a children's playground and a toboggan run. In 5 minutes, with a direct train connection to the lift station, you reach the ski resort 3 peaks Dolomites, which offers about 100 km of slopes with its 5 connected ski mountains. Cross-country skiers can expect 200 km of cross-country ski tracks and Winter hikers can relax on 70 km of wonderfully snow-covered hiking trails. With its urban flair and lively pedestrian zone, the village is ideal for a strolling or shopping tour, always overtowered by the striking Baranci mountain.
