Jewel of rare beauty. Property built in 1903, historic house with murals by Giovanni Savio, painter born in La Morra. The decorations on both floors is a love’s allegory. The property overlooks a breath taking view overlooking the thousand villages of the Langhe- Roero region. You can enjoy a spectacular view, which fills the summer evenings with particular beauty. La MORRA: Location and surroundings of this property
Located on top of a hill, a few kilometers from Alba, La Morra is a small jewel nestled in the heart of the Langhe, whose fame has crossed national borders and is now famous all over the world. In fact, since 2014, La Morra has been included in the list of Unesco world heritage sites as part of the site "The Wine Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato". The velvety hills, the cobblestone streets and the irregular roofs, arranged according to the ancient medieval layout in itself would be enough to make La Morra a unique location, keeper of timeless architectural traditions and beauties. But, the citadel offers much more: the so-called "red gold". In fact, throughout the district, fine vines are grown, and among these the most renowned is Nebbiolo from which Barolo and Nebbiolo d'Alba are produced. Precious black grapes, which like sun-kissed rubies, shine in the light of day creating a delicious wine.
The imposing bell tower overlooking La Morra, dating back to 1700 built with the remains of the castle demolished in the 16th century, stands out over the landscape with its height of over 30 meters. From here, you can admire the surrounding panorama. 360° of pure beauty.
In every street of the village, there are typical wineries and inns where you can taste not only famous wines but also the fine local products. Hiking lovers will be able to try their hand at the network of 7 paths, whose narrow streets lead the visitor to the famous vineyards and also allow you to discover small suggestive hamlets, votive pylons, woods and panoramic points. At only 20 minutes from Alba, 10 minutes from Barolo, 2 hours from Milan and Genoa, La Morra is the ideal starting point to explore and immerse yourself in the sensations that only this magnificent land can give.
