Lascari is an Italian town located on the northern coast of Sicily, 27 meters above sea level, about 50 km from Palermo and about 10 km from Cefalù. Lascari has no ancient origins, it was founded in 1963, when a group of farmers moved from the nearby Gratteri to the mountains, in an area near the sea and began to build houses around an existing bell tower. At the same time Baron Gaetano Ventimiglia gave the new fraction the name of Lascari in honor of the lineage of his stock by the emperors Lascari of Constantinople.
In 1840 Lascari became independent from Gratteri and in 1890 it was granted the right to the territory even if the city obtained it of made in 1924.
