Cassano Magnago: Location and surroundings of this property

Cassano Magnago is an Italian town of 21,731 inhabitants in the province of Varese, and has a territorial surface with an altitude ranging from 242 m a.s.l. at 321 m above sea level Cassano Magnago was elevated to the status of a city following the Decree of the President of the Republic 10 November 1997. Cassano is thought to have been inhabited since ancient times, hypothesis supported by the discovery of an archaeological find, a cinerary urn dating back to the period between 600 and 450 BC, attributable to the culture of Golasecca (from 1000 to 500 BC). In the following centuries new migrations of peoples arrived in the country. The area between Ticino and Adda was occupied by the Insubri and it seems that the name of Cassano Magnago derives from this ancient Celtic population.
