The property is situated on the first hill of the Comune of Taggia, near Bussana, Sanremo, with its old artists' centre and beautiful sandy beaches.
Taggia is a hamlet rich in art and nature and has two souls: a historical one, made up of old Taggia with its medieval historical centre, the other, a seaside resort formed by the hamlet of Arma di Taggia, offering a crystal clear sea, awarded on many occasions with a “Blue Flag”.
The historical centre of Taggia is the most important of its kind in Liguria after that of Genoa.
Enclosed by a circle of medieval walls, the hamlet is known for its old historical buildings, alleys, archways and stone arcades.
The San Domenico Convent, of notable historical importance, made it the main cultural centre for three centuries.
Every year the traditional Furgari Festival is celebrated, in honour of the town's Patron Saint, Benedetto Revelli. During the festival, in a mix of sacred and profane, large bonfires are lit and people go around the hamlet armed with their “furgari”, bamboo sticks filled with gun powder.
Just a few minutes away, Arma di taggia offers large sandy beaches and a lovely promenade by the sea, typical restaurants, pizzerias and ice-cream parlours. The centre of Sanremo can be reached in ten minutes, the French Riviera and Monaco in half an hour and Nice airport in an hour.
