Part of the estate in Cuneo was intended for silkworm breeding, taking advantage of the numerous mulberry plants and for the construction of housing for gardens and servitude. The family also build an impressive Villa bigger and bigger till the actual one surrounded by a large park with hedges and plants that havenow become secular, designed by a French architect in the early 18thcentury. During their stays the noble Savio recived political personalities and the aristocracy.
The Barons took refuge in this residence in the war period thanks to its safety. Without any descendants the Barons bequeathed their possessions to the brotherhood of the Jesuits in Torino and the estate in Cuneo was acquired by the current owner in 1974. They have kept the original unchanged, the Villa and the neighboring houses are now their residence, preserving the complex of the charm of the past.
