Martinsicuro: Location and surroundings of this property

Martinsicuro is a town of 16.144 inhabitants in the province of Teramo in Abruzzo and belongs to the Union of Val Vibrata municipalities. Located on the right of the mouth of Tronto river, it is the most northern municipality in Abruzzo and the first municipality, coming from the north, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It is called indeed “First beach of Abruzzo”.
The Abruzzo coast boasts seven places known for the crystal clear sea and the remarkable care of the beaches, which in the latest years have got the prestigious "Blue Flag" recognition, as the maritime village of Martinsicuro.
This village in Abruzzo is located in Val Vibrata, a territory known in the past as the Valley of Eden and which, even today, preserves evidence of man presence dating back to prehistoric age.
The climate of this area is Mediterranean; the summer season is mitigated by the action of the sea from which a pleasant breeze rises and winters are never too hard.
Martinsicuro, thanks to the Adriatic sea with its clear turquoise colour, to the sandy dunes of the coast which make the landscape suggestive, to the bathing facilities able to offer comfort and fun, is a place where tourism is the main economic resource, maintaining anyway a constant care at the territory, for its natural and historical beauties.
If you are able to get away from the beauty of Martinsicuro sea and its nice beaches, you may visit the city center, which will excite you as much as the bathing area.
The sixteenth-century Tower of Charles V dominates the city, built in 1547 by order of Martin De Secura. Around this building, originally built to defend the coast from sea enemy incursions, the rest of the town was made over the centuries.
Who likes to dedicate itself to any activity to keep fit can decide to take part of the cycle path called the “Green Adriatic Corridor” under construction which will soon connect the Po mouth to Puglia for a total of 1,000 kilometers to be crossed by bike among wonderful landscapes.
Who prefers to organize its trip by car should take the Adriatic highway A14 towards Ancona if coming from the north, towards Pescara if coming from the south, exit at San Benedetto del Tronto-Ascoli Piceno, and continue on the Adriatic SS16 till to Martinsicuro.
Instead who likes to travel by train can reach the stations of Alba Adriatica, 6 kilometers from Martinsicuro, or that of San Benedetto del Tronto, 10 kilometers away; once you get off the train you can continue your trip to Martinsicuro by taking the bus.
If you prefer to reach Martinsicuro traveling by plane, you need to know that the nearest airports are Pescara, which is about 58 kilometers away and Ancona which is 103 kilometers away.
