An institution and a family helped to transformer this site a unique Real Estate. Thanks to its 14.838 mq on a lot land and to its 7.770 mq on a covered area it is an exceptional example of industrial architecture. This can be seen entering the central body of the former factory with shape of "C". You can find three large rooms each characterized by vaults and columns different in shape and genre. On the ground floor there is a spacious room about 300 mq with 50 vaults and 56 stone columns chiseled by hand directly on site, dating back to 1860.
The visit proceeds to the west wing of the cotton mill where you discover the imposing chimney well preserved high more than 34 mt and very special ceilings.
On the opposite side you can find the private residence on two levels of 250 mq characterized by a portico on the ground floor and by 3 spacious terraces on the upper floor.
The Estate is equipped with several canopies including a block in the center of the important park planted with centuries-old trees such as cedars of Lebano and lidentrees with a fishing basin and also 12 hectares of fruit trees.

Provincia di Cuneo: Location and surroundings of this property

In the second half of the 19th century on the initiative of Mr Giuseppe Antonio Pirioli, the Boves cotton mill was built in the Gastalo Region between Fontanelle and Boves.
Afterwards the Real Estate complex was purchased by Francesco Introzzi, a prominent figure in the Como silk industry, in the 1930s. In an autobiography of Mr Introzzi we read:"Bought the cotton mill of Boves just before the II World War by the grandfather "Francesco dai Pirioli". This cotton mill was located in the very place of a water jump. It was the "Canale Naviglio".
The presence of the water jump and the railway, the Turin-Ventimiglia, was symptomatic of the allocation of an industrial activity."
Notes of the cotton mill will also be found in the biography of Don Agostino Pellegrino, who planned and followed the contruction of the Sanctuary of "Queen of Peace" in Fontanelle, 1924-1928.
A passage of his initiative is reported in a dispute with the Pirioli administration:"he did not just think about the health of the souls of his parishioners, he lived and as a good father, shared their problems.
During a strike by the spinner of the Fontanelle cotton mill without any violent demonstrations, Don Pellegrino managed with his mediation to find an agreement between the owner Mr. Pirinoli and the strikers"
In a brochure of the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce of the Directore-General for statistics referring to Piedmont, published in Rome in 1892, it appears that the Boves Cotton mill had a place of absolute prestige in the field of weaving and spinning of cotton .
