We are in the heart of Valpolicella, just a few minutes from the city of Verona and Lake Garda: this elegant residence dating back to the early twentieth century is really majestic. Once through the entrance gate, we find ourselves inside the estate, completely surrounded by vineyards, where the large swimming pool stands out. The two main bodies of the house, which is on two floors above ground, have been joined together by building a reinforced concrete tower with an internal staircase, where there are beautiful windows that frame, as in a painting, the cypress trees in the garden.
At the entrance we find on the left a large tavern area with billiard table, a storage room, a laundry room and a bathroom. On the right there is a gym and access to the double garage.
On the first floor there is a large kitchen, a dining room and a living room with access to the loggia overlooking the garden. The sleeping area consists of a bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, two bathrooms and a further walk-in wardrobe. On the upper floor there are two more bedrooms with two bathrooms, a cloakroom and a sitting area.
The residence is ancient, the floors are in marble and the taste is sumptuous. The 16th century Villa Della Torre is located very close to the property and enhances the value of the context. The beauty of the natural environment is protected by the work of the owners of the area, who have ensured that no new buildings can be erected. Fumane is an Italian municipality in the province of Verona, located in Valpolicella. The territory, flat to the south, extends towards the Lessini mountains. The flat and hilly areas are mainly cultivated with vineyards, cherry orchards and olive groves. The most valuable vines are found in the hills, on terraces called "marogne" in dialect. Here the Molinara, Rondinella and Corvina grapes are used to produce the famous wines Valpolicella classico DOC, Amarone classico DOC and Recioto. In the mountainous area there are woods and meadows used for grazing.
There are many naturalistic beauties in the area: the Molina Botanical Museum houses over 300 tree species, the Molina Waterfalls Park offers beautiful naturalistic views created by the streams, called "progni", that cross the valley and flow through intricate paths, and finally Riparo Solinas – also called "Grotta di Fumane" – is a very important archaeological site.
In the area around Fumane you can find numerous religious buildings and Venetian villas of historical and artistic value, built in the Venetian era by the landowners who, from the city, had to follow agricultural work in the countryside or spend their holidays there.
Verona is about 18 kilometres away.
