The coast is in fact characterized by the presence of numerous beaches for bathers and suggestive natural inlets with a fishy bottom appreciated by those who practice underwater fishing.
In the immediate vicinity, just 3 km away, is the municipality of Altavilla Milicia with its belvedere and the Marian sanctuary which are the main attractions of the town.
At 6 km is the seaside village of San Nicola l'Arena also called San Nicola Tonnara for the presence of an ancient tonnara, dating back to 1367 and later transformed into a castle.
The village has developed around the main tower of the Castle on the sea and today is particularly popular as well as for its geographical position also for the marina that in summer is full of many boats that here find an almost natural landing.
