Mr. Piccolo, with his children, manages this structure with professionalism and kindness, taking care of the small details. In 2012 the new NATO base in Lago Patria was built nearby the restaurant, and Mr. Piccolo decides to expand the structure building another floor. Giugliano is located in the north-western area of the hinterland of Naples, the so-called agro-Giuglianese; it borders to the north with Caserta and to the south with Campi Flegrei. The territory is located in the Campania plain and is almost flat; the only relief is Monte San Severino. The average height above sea level varies from 0 m a.s.l. of the maritime area at 97 m a.s.l. of the historical center. The coastal stretch, low and sandy, extends over the domitio coast for over 3 km, from the Marina di Varcaturo to Lido di Licola (or Licola Mare). Within the territory there is Lake Patria, with the homonymous locality on its shores. The lake is not of volcanic origin, but residual behind the dunes, that is generated by the closure of sand dunes towards the sea. Adjacent to the beautiful Le Sirena Restaurant is the brand new and technological American Nato Base. The Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) -Naples is a NATO military command located in Italy, based in Lago Patria, a fraction of Giugliano in Campania, in the metropolitan city of Naples. It constitutes one of the two operational strategic commands of the Allied Operations Command of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE - Headquarters of the allied powers in Europe) based in Casteau in Belgium; the other is the Allied Joint Force Command-Brunssum.
