Montevecchia: Location and surroundings of this property

The Regional Park of Montevecchia and the Valley of Curone is a protected natural area in Lombardy, located in the territory of Meratese, in the Brianza area of Lecco.
The park covers an area of about 2,360 hectares, which includes several municipalities, among the most famous: Valletta Brianza, Missaglia, Montevecchia (where it is located), Sirtori and Viganò. This park, although small, is a valuable resource for the area. In fact, it appears to be the last site of significant environmental interest in preserving uncontaminated woodlands and animal species such as crayfish, salamander, badger and squirrel, before reaching the city of Milan. The minimum altitude of the park territory corresponds to 242 m.s.l.m, the maximum altitude of about 600. From the hydrographic point of view, two streams run through, moreover, the woods of this area are rich in natural springs, whose water has allowed in the past to create irrigation ditches, fountains and wash houses. From the geological point of view, the park is an interesting place because it is the last offshoot of a morainic amphitheater.

Commission Details

The property brokerage engagement with “Finest Italian Estates S.r.l.” (an affiliate of Engel & Völkers Italia S.r.l.) and/or use of the services listed in our brochure or the property for sale on our property cards are governed by a specific agreement and pertinent clauses.
