Cadegliano Viconago: Location and surroundings of this property

Cadegliano Viconago is a charming village formed by open spaces to the green with small squares and alleys, witnesses of the continuity of the social life of the local populations linked to ancient traditions.
The Old Station in Liberty style, now home to the municipal library, the clinic and the post office, is the work of the architect Sommaruga. The locality of Doneda is characterized by the section of its castle from the 11th-12th century and by the various ruins of the late Middle Ages. Unmissable destination is the Argentera Park. The park is gathered all around the Dovrana stream, surrounded by nature where you can enjoy great peace. You can walk to discover the many species of plants, admire the frescoes that adorn the old mills, go jogging or rest and read on one of the benches. The municipal area overlooks Lake Lugano, otherwise known as Ceresio. This is a pre-Alpine lake branched along the Italian-Swiss border with an area of 48.7 km², of which about 18 km² pertaining to the Italian Republic.
Ceresio is the Italianization of the Latin name Ceresium, of uncertain etymology: according to some it can be identified in an ancient Roman toponym "Ceresium" whose more accurate translation would be: "bluer than the sky". Others, however, report that the name derives instead from the Celtic "keresius" which means "branched" and in fact the shape of Lake Ceresio is really branched, with more branches.
The center of the provincial capital, Varese, and the motorway to Milan are 19 km away, while Malpensa international airport is 60 km away. The Swiss border can be easily reached by covering 3 km while the Lugano Golf Club is only 7 km away. After 15 km you reach the coast of Lake Maggiore.
