What you should know about this house

Amenities and special features of this house

This ancient Baglio- erected on a convent of the ‘700s- opens with a typical horseshoe court where wings used to host warehouses, barns and farmhouses of the peasants up until the mid- ‘900. The central body corresponds to the residential part. Inside, the Baglio has the exclusive feature of a Baglietto that gives access to a woodshed and a patio garden. Around the property, you can find a part of the land that is intended for grazing and a second part that is farmed with olive trees (where an ancient irrigation bathtub is also set, the Gebbia). Amongst the most fascinating rooms for their historical value and preservation, there is the basement where the persistent smell of must recalls the wineries of the last century, the mill with typical machinery from that time and the old wood-burning oven.
A private road allows a direct access to the seafront of Marausa and the beaches.

Trapani Mare - Marausa: Location and surroundings of this property

Marausa derives its name from the Arabic "Mara u zack". Its famous "Torre di Mezzo", one of Sicily's coastal towers, has been active since 1619 and has been used in the last century for military purposes. It is one of the summer destinations of the area, known for the natural beauty of the places. From the beach (the so-called Marausa lido), you can enjoy an extraordinary view of the nearby Egadi archipelago.
It is part of the municipality of Trapani (a city that is just 15 minutes away) and it is located a few kilometres away from the Birgi Airport.
