Recanati is in the province of Macerata and it is nationally and internationally famous for being the birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi, the most famous Italian poet of the nineteenth century and one of the most important of the Italian literature, whose birth house is the destination of a constant national and international tourist flow. The city is easily reachable in few minutes by the most important road, motorway and railway hubs of the Adriatic coast and it is also placed in a strategic position, half an hour far from the "Raffaello Sanzio" regional airport of Falconara Marittima (AN) and, with few minutes more, from the most important mountain places of the hinterland, characterized by medieval villages, green hills, equipped lake centres, regional and national parks, such as the “Conero“ and the “Monti Sibillini”.
