Zone Limitrofe: Location and surroundings of this property

Borgoricco is a municipality of the Province of Padua which is located about half an hour by car away from the city. It is a place full of history. The name “Borgoricco” derives from the Latin words “burgus” which means castle and “ricco” refers to the dominant role of this Roman settlement. Before the Roman times the territory was mostly inhabited by huntsmen, fishermen and farmers. When the area was developed to build new houses in modern times a great number of historical artifacts were found and can now be admired in the local museum. The family Dalesmanni o Dalesmanini owned large properties in this area. For example they build a fortified castle surrounded by a moat with 2 bridges in Castellaro. This imposant building, however, doesn't exist anymore and one can only remember its existence in the names of the streets “Via Castellaro” and “Via Dalesmanina”. Other historic buildings such as small churches or chapels can still be admired even though they are mostly destroyed.
