San Colombano al Lambro is an exclave (the only one) of the metropolitan city of Milan between the provinces of Lodi and Pavia, located on the right bank of the Lambro.
The municipality is the main production center of the homonymous DOC wine, whose vineyards are scattered in the areas adjacent to the municipality, which are part of the province of Lodi, the province of Pavia and the metropolitan city of Milan. In the 2000s, in order to preserve the territory, the Parco della Collina di San Colombano was established.
