Tremezzina: Location and surroundings of this property

Ossuccio - a picturesque village located on the western shore of Lake Como, about 20 km from the town of Como. In 2003, the Sacred Mount of Ossuccio was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. In front of the town is the only island on Lake Como - Comacina Island - open for tourists to explore the ruins of the baptistery and the foundation of an ancient church. In addition, the island has one of the most famous restaurants on Lake Como - 'Locanda dell'Isola Comacina', with an excellent menu of traditional local food.
The ferry boat company Laghi offers year-round convenient connections to the other picturesque places around the lake.
The most important infrastructures are located nearby and are easily accessible. The city of Como is about 50 minutes (about 31 km) away, the Lombard metropolis of Milan with its international airports Malpensa and Linate are about 1.5 hours away by car, the city of Lugano in Switzerland with its regional airport is about 1 hour by car.
The lake offers water sports enthusiasts a wide range of water sports, as well as the hiking trails for lovers of hiking, trekking, cycling or mountain biking.
For winter sports enthusiasts, the proximity to the famous winter sports resorts of St. Moritz (CH), as well as Madesimo, Bormio and Livigno (Ital.), should be noted. These resorts can be reached in about 2-3 hours by car.

Commission Details

The property brokerage engagement with “Finest Italian Estates S.r.l.” (an affiliate of Engel & Völkers Italia S.r.l.) and/or use of the services listed in our brochure or the property for sale on our property cards are governed by a specific agreement and pertinent clauses.
