This wonderful property also boasts other prestigious neighborhoods such as Positano and Amalfi both a 20-minute drive away. The Colli San Pietro are at the foot of the Colli di Fontanelle which enjoy an enchanting panorama: from Piazza Carlo Sagristani, located at 318 m, you can admire the municipalities of Sant'Agnello, Piano di Sorrento and Meta with the gulf and in the background Naples and Vesuvius itself. The position on the top of the hills allows you to enjoy, looking south, also the panorama of the Gulf of Salerno and the so-called Li Galli islands: these are three islets, Gallo Lungo, La Rotonda and Briganti (to be precise, Dei Briganti a North of the Rotunda), which are identified with the place where the sirens of Homer's Odyssey enchanted the sailors, causing them to crash on the rocks. Ulysses did not want to give up hearing the song of the sirens and so he had himself tied to the mast of the ship, but only after having blocked the ears of his sailors with wax: he was therefore able to become ecstatic to the singing of the sirens while the ship continued its undisturbed sail. On the Picco Sant'Angelo that reaches 465 m there is a cross, formerly made of wood replaced at the beginning of the century with an iron one, made with the spontaneous contribution of the parishioners which carried it in pieces on the back of mules and welded it on the spot.
