Ranica is an Italian town of 6,000 inhabitants in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy. It is located on the right side of the river Serio and it is about 5 kilometers from the city and the international airport of Orio al Serio.

The best known is undoubtedly the Villa Camozzi, built in neoclassical style between 1810 and 1815. After several changes of ownership, in 1979 the headquarters of the Mario Negri Institute settled there, a research center and hospital for rare diseases.
