A virtual showcase for the presentation of Consortia, associations, companies and labels, this is Hopwine, the first online fair dedicated to the wine sector that was held from 18th to 25th May, naturally on the Web.
During the opening dates of the Hopwine fair, international professionals have had the opportunity to visit the virtual stands of the producers and exhibitor consortia, get in touch with them and request any samples to be tasted. Because the only contact that remains "physical" in this new way of promoting wines is that with the product: the essential moment of the tasting.
The Hopwine fair is in fact organized so as to be able to ship all the samples for tasting all the wines on display in the virtual stands thanks to an agreement with the Vinovae company that is able to re-bottle, with a patented technology recognized on an international level, the 0.75 l bottles for tasting at the virtual fair (sent by the exhibitors) in 2 cl formats called Vinotte, sufficient for a single tasting and capable of guaranteeing the chemical-physical and organoleptic characteristics of the wine.
The Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico was the only Italian consortium that took part and held the Made in Italy honour high with its unmistakable Gallo Nero. The Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico thus wanted to fill that gap of encounter with trade and sector operators, due to the cancellation of the main international events and sector fairs scheduled for 2020, from ProWein in Dusseldorf to Vinitaly in Verona.
For the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium, online platforms are becoming more and more "venues" not only to meet, but also to shop and discover new realities. Participation in Hopwine is, in this sense, in line with the online initiative "The largest Chianti Classico catalog", recently launched and promoted by the Consortium to buy Chianti Classico Wine.
