The ranking of the quality of life of the Italian provinces was drawn up by Italia Oggi, in collaboration with La Sapienza University. The research shows virtuous models, critical issues and changes taking place in the provinces and main areas of the country. Siena took a leap forward in the standings and went from eleventh to fourth place in Italy, confirming its leadership in Tuscany.
The research takes into consideration nine macro-themes (business and work, environment, crime, social and personal hardship, population, financial and educational services, health system, free time and standard of living) and 84 indicators. Excellent performance of the province of Siena, especially in the school system, health, cultural activities and leisure time. On the podium there are Bolzano, which confirms its first place, then Trento and Belluno.
