"The combination of a gray, stable over time, and a vibrant yellow, expresses a message of concreteness but at the same time positive and energetic ... this combination of colors conveys a sense of resilience and hope. Being encouraged is something essential for the human mind ”. Pantone 2021.
"A constant vow of our postmodern era consists in" abolishing the frontier between art and life "(...) With the experience of the ready made as well as of the happening, we strive to go back upstream of the wild / civilized bifurcation." Regis Debrais, Life and death of the image, 1992.

This bizarre collective - I know from myself that I thought of it - is proposed as a ready-made complex of painting, drawing, sculpture and art photography. And again it collects reportage images, an author's short (issimo), but also textile works, jewelry or gardening projects, ceramics and even food.
The characteristic of San Sebastiano Contemporary / Casa Bramante is to propose initiatives that mix experimentalism and playful effects. Consequently, the direction of this exhibition also follows a “light” and “anarchic” attitude. An address that tries to break with all academic references, while keeping one imperative under wraps: always and in any case to propose quality work.
It couldn't be otherwise. These are the "limits" (or perhaps the merits?) Of the experiences matured in the artistic field by Bramante and Premoli who are the animators of this space.
Around an (apparently) pretext concept such as the combination of gray and yellow colors, works by established artists such as Pietro Roccasalva and Miltos Manetas are arranged. Super professionals like Davide Bramante, Maura Banfo, Jano Sicura and the filmmaker Giovanna Brogna. Proven artists such as Stefania Ricci, Giuseppe Bombaci, Claudio Cavallaro, Luciano Gaglio, Rossana Ragusa. Young promises such as Salvo Alibrio, Sebastiano Bottaro, Francesco Bellina, Daniele Bianco and Paolo Greco. To which are added the Syracusan jeweler Massimo Izzo, the Catania couturier Mariella Gennarino, the ceramists (chosen by Salvatore Lantieri) Duccio Maria Gambi, Juan and Salvador Cidrás, a master gardener like Alfio Leonardi ... and also two chefs: Andrea Alì, Yasmine De Palma.
A heterogeneous company - but carefully arranged - to create havoc, to describe through the colors given emotions close to the resilience that our mind needs in a difficult period like the one we are going through.
Art heals the soul.
Aldo Premoli
