Buying a house in Venice to meet Tom Cruise

The American star will return to shoot on the Lagoon

Buying houses for sale Venice historic center will add to the dream of living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world the adrenaline of being inside a movie set.

Tom Cruise has in fact decided that the set of Mission: Impossible 7 will continue to be Venice. Filming, which had stopped in the past few months to ensure the crew will be able to return home safely after the outbreak of the pandemic, will resume as soon as regulations allow.

According to what is read in the pages of the Sun, the actor is determined to return to the Lagoon after refusing the alternative locations that managers and producers had offered him in recent months.

In addition to offering a frame of extraordinary beauty to his work, Cruise wants to continue working in Venice to bring concrete help in one of the areas hit hardest by Covid. A gesture of great solidarity on the part of a movie star who has always been in love with Italy. His passion is well known: Cruise in 2005 had already filmed part of Mission: Impossible 3 in Rome and the following year he had chosen the castle of Bracciano as the location for his princely wedding with Katie Holmes.

The actor and his staff are already working to define how to safely resume work on the set, convinced that within a few months, if not weeks, it will be possible to return to shooting. An intention also confirmed by the film's release date set for November 19, 2021, only a few months after July 23, 2021 in which it was initially scheduled.

For the lucky owners of houses in Venice it will be easy to run into the set, also because they will be informed in advance of the filming that will touch some symbolic places of the city. If nothing changes compared to what was foreseen in the first draft of the script, the Rio di Cannaregio and the Grand Canal should take the stage with some historic buildings such as the Palazzo Pisani di Santo Stefano and the Pescheria di Rialto.

The journey of Ethan Hunt, name of the protagonist of the Mission: Impossible saga, will then touch Calle Ca ’Genova and Campo San Vio, Calle del Traghetto and Fondamenta de la Salute, the Minich Bridge over the Rio de Santa Marina, Ramo and Sotoportego Pisani. The production headquarters, with all the necessary equipment for sets and filming, should be confirmed at the Arsenale where a sort of hangar on the water had already been set up at the beginning of the year.

The history of Venice, city of cinema for the International Exhibition and for the epic sequences of the many films that have seen it as protagonist, is enriched with a new chapter. And who knows, Tom Cruise, in love with the Lagoon, will not decide to buy a house in the shadow of San Marco, perhaps choosing one of our luxury apartments for sale in Venice.
