According to the New York Post, top model Heidi Klum is reported to be interested in owning an island. Is she looking for a love nest?
“Tavern Island” is currently available for the equivalent of around 10 million euros. It is situated off the coast of the State of Connecticut, and is just one hour north of New York. At the heart of the island is a Tudor-style villa, which was built in the year 1900. With six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pool, a guesthouse, a teahouse and a private beach, it offers plenty of space for the mother-of-four and her children. The island has a total surface area of around 6,000 square metres.
42-year-old model and manager Heidi Klum leads a jet-set lifestyle, and could certainly do with a getaway from the everyday media circus from time to time. Perhaps she is also looking for a place of retreat for herself and her current boyfriend, the 28-year-old art dealer, Vito Schnabel? She would certainly not be the first celebrity on the island: Stars such as Marilyn Monroe reportedly enjoyed legendary parties here in the ‘50s and ‘60s. At that time, the island was owned by theatre legend Billy Rose.
