For the second consecutive year Lagos in the Algarve will host the race of the small and faster catamarans in the world! The GC32 Racing Tour returns to the western tip of Europe, in a stop which will be simultaneously the stage for the world championship of the class.
The race will "bring to Portugal between the 26 to the 30th of June around 12 top professional teams, including two from the America ́s Cup.
The experience and success from last year was key for the fleet to comeback to algarvian waters. According to the general manager of the G32 Racing tour "Lagos it´s a wonderful place with all the right conditions"
The Lagos Marina was the first in the Iberian Peninsula to achive a 5-star rating awarded by the International Marine Certification Institute. Within a great location on the Lagos bay next to Meia Praia beach this Marina has the privilegie of beeing within walking distance of the historical center of the city.
Lagos is recognized by many as the "capital of nautic tourism".
Historicaly linked to the sea the city of Lagos in the Algarve, due to it´s location bacame a focal point for the Portuguese discoveries. It was was from here that the Portuguese sailors left to discover the world.
