All these wines come from the terraces surrounding the Douro river and its tributaries, where schist walls support wings of vines loaded with white grape clusters or ink.

If the winter is marked by the calm and the quiet, which becomes apparent in the bare vines, the transition from summer to autumn brings the bustle of harvest, with a down and up baskets and pruning shears, the slopes populated by workers.
