How did your journey at Engel & Völkers begin?
I began my journey as a client, initially interested in the services offered by E&V as the owner. However, fate took an unexpected turn and I was seduced by a job offer that led me to embark on a new professional stage.
What motivated you to look for a change?
Initially, it was financial necessity,but also that innate passion that drove me to work in this field for 18 consecutive years, and which is still here, even though I took a long break in the middle of my journey, but I'm still passionate about the commercial area.
What do you value most about collaborating with Engel & Völkers?
I really value the professionalism, work organisation and at the same time the empathy that surrounds me, both from all my colleagues and from Vitor Paiva (Licence Partner). This kind of atmosphere creates an environment where each person is not just an employee, but also someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of others, contributing to a rewarding and motivating work environment.
What is your analysis of the sales market in the area you will be working?
It's a difficult market, it's the first time my sales have depended exclusively on second homes, but it's very attractive, given the prices charged and the obvious growth of the market in this area.
What advice would you give to people who are looking for a professional change but are afraid?
It's a business that requires a certain amount of resilience, work organisation and dedication. But it's not at all difficult to achieve and it's a business in which, after just a few months, you'll have enough know-how to be successful.
What aspect of your profession captivates you the most?
To be able to be financially independent and at the same time meet incredible people who often stay with you for life.
