1) A book
"It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want to Be" or "Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite" both by Paul Arden. Despite being reference books in the world of creativity and advertising, this book provide us some points of view and lessons that we can apply in any business area and even in our daily lives.
2) One sentence
"If you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
3) One place
The Bankside area in London, surrounded by the Tate Modern and the Globe, overlooking the view over St Paul and the Shard.
There you always keep one foot in the past and the other in the future.
4) A song
Although I have many songs among my favorites, and though I like very different musical styles, I think I would have to choose the classic of rock "Good Times Bad Times" by Led Zeppelin.
5) A sport
Boxing. Although it may seem a very violent choice for most people, I think this sport requires an enormous dedication, concentration, discipline and strategic capacity. At the end of the day, the fight is always against ourselves and not against others.
6) A film
Can I only choose one? Maintaining the theme, I would say it's always good to see Rocky again.
7) A destination
São Miguel, the island where I was born and where we can still find a core relationship between Man and Nature at its best.
8) A favourite restaurant/food
How about some fried little fish with tomato rice, eaten by the sea?
9) Your favourite day
For me, the best day it's the day when you solve a problem, when you meet a new friend, when we have an interesting conversation, when we learn something new... if all of this happens during a working day at E&V, it will be even better.
10) A person you admire
Now that we no longer have Steve Jobs, maybe Elon Musk for his creativity and ability to put technology at the service of humanity and for still being "crazy" enough to profit from it.
