The German group, Engel & Völkers, the world leader in luxury real estate, has seven brand licenses available for sale in various parts of the country, four of which are in the northern region of Portugal.
Continuing with the expansion plan outlined for Portugal, this Thursday, Engel & Völkers held a meeting in the city of Porto with the brand's directors and about 90 potential investors. The meeting aimed to share information with those interested in obtaining such licenses as well as discussing and analysing the local and national market.
Currently, Engel & Völkers offers licenses for Porto Foz, Porto City, Vila Nova de Gaia, Guimarães, Coimbra, Leiria and Faro.
"We are aware of the importance of the Portuguese market and its progress, so we want to consolidate and position ourselves as a benchmark for premium offers", says Constanza Maya, the Head of Expansion & Support for Spain and Portugal.
The huge success of Engel & Völkers' offices in the key markets is one of the factors that has contributed to the strong growth of this brand in national territory. The company's goal is to work on its agencies' expansion plan. "The northern part of Portugal is our main focus, since we want to expand our presence and offer franchises in this region of the country", says Margarita Oltra, the Expansion Manager of Engel & Völkers.
The real estate prices have been rising and continue to do so. This market may even reach record figures when compared to previous years.
Engel & Völkers has reported a 60% increase in property sales in Portugal during the first half of this year. If we compare this to the same period last year, the figure reaches €39.9 million against €24.9 million in the first half of 2016.
The average selling price of properties by Engel & Völkers in the national territory during the first half of this year was 596,000 euros. This represents an increase of 3% over the same period in 2016.
Engel & Völkers issues licenses within the upscale residential real estate brokerage. The worldwide success of the brand's presence lies in its franchise selling system that attracts entrepreneurs and self-employed businessmen from around the world. This system has enabled growth over the last few years and the company's vast global network fosters and facilitates the promotion of real estate throughout the world.
