Silves Gare is situated just at the outskirts of Silves city and is the location of the Silves railway station. Despite the scarce daily trains that pass through, it is a small and quiet subburb with its bar, restaurant and little supermarket catering to a year round resident population. Only a couple kilometers away from both the new Pestana 18 holes golf course and Silves' numerous tourists attractions, typical restaurants, supermarkets, schools, services and amenities, it is surrounded by orchards and green hills gradually giving way to the beautiful Monchique mountains scenery.
