Dear Valued Clients
I would like to share my personal thoughts about the unprecedented situation which we are facing locally, nationally and globally.
I feel it is important to remain pragmatic and open, whilst following the clear guidelines which have been set out by our partners and leaders.
In this spirit, let me outline our response, which remains mindful of the need to protect all our stakeholders, whilst continuing to offer the service for which Engel & Volkers is known and of which we are very proud.
We are committed to following the guidelines given by the World Health Organisation; the measures announced by President Ramaphosa, and the protocols, which have been issued by Engel & Völkers worldwide.
We commit to the following until further notice:
*Continued skeleton service in both our shops, in Camps Bay and the Gardens centre, which will be open from 9am until 7pm weekdays with reduced hours at weekends.
*Robust practices with regard to hand sanitiser availability and regular cleansing of the premises
*Personal space and contact guidelines adhered to including face-to-face contact and also property viewings.
*No show houses for the foreseeable future.
*Increased availability of our team online and through our Social Media platforms.
*We have asked all of our Area Partners to make direct contact with their own clients to discuss and agree how best to serve their needs and ensure that as much as possible we will be able to provide the service which is expected,
*We will at all times be sensitive to the wishes of our clients in terms of personal contact and access to properties.
*We will be monitoring the global and national situation on a daily basis and will amend our practices in line with the guidelines and legislation put forward.
*The health and safety of our employees, clients and business partners remains our number one priority and everything that we do will be with that in mind.
As the owner of Engel and Völkers in Cape Town my commitment to our clients is always to be as transparent and honest as I can, whether we are discussing your property value, contracts and commitments or health and safety.
We understand that the next few weeks and months will be challenging for everyone in the world but we remain positive about the future and believe that the world will be a better, stronger and more united place when the current crisis has passed.
Cape Town continues to be one of the most beautiful and desirable places to live and work and it has shown over the years that its mountain and people stand strong in times of adversity.
We continue to believe that properties are good value here in global terms and whatever your budget or requirement there will continue to be excellent opportunities to invest now and in the future.
Thank you for your continued support and best wishes to you and your families during these difficult and challenging times.
