Record Price Achieved by Engel and Völkers Cape Town in the Southern Suburbs
We are delighted to announce that our Licence Partner and owner Paul Turner has just concluded a record sale in Constantia, Cape Town.
The sale was concluded by Paul over a 4 month period. Remarkably the decision to invest was made without the buyer, who was an International investor, being able to view the property due to travel restrictions.

"I spoke to the clients and once we understood their brief we started looking for suitable properties for them to consider. We quickly drew up a short list of 3 and they focused on one. We then arranged a series of video calls from the property to showcase and answer their questions. We actually produced 45 videos including 3 from my car to show the beauty of the drive to the house through Constantia. In addition we conducted a detailed Due Diligence on behalf of the client. This comprised 8 professional reports from engineers, planning and environmental experts, garden and landscaping teams, builders, technology and innovation experts.We even carried out 60 air quality sample tests.
I was supported by my team and we quietly and discreetly concluded the sale over a 4 month period, with transfer taking place at year end. We are now in the process of supervising a complete redecoration of the house and ensuring that everything is perfect for when our clients are able to travel.
The good news is that the clients seem delighted with the professional service that we have provided and we are now looking for a second home for them on the Atlantic Seaboard."
The sale, inclusive of furniture, amounted to R75,000,000.
In addition to this sale Paul and his team have also concluded 6 other sales on an ‘unseen’ basis to International Buyers mainly from Germany, during lockdown, including a Penthouse in Camps Bay for R11.5M and a beautiful 6 bedroomed house in Hout Bay for R10.3M.
The team sold a total of 12 properties in December and the first 2 weeks of January, worth a staggering R135M.
