Engel & Völkers Americas’ annual event, the EVX, took place from 12 to 14 March 2023, in Miami Beach. It was an experience unlike any other, featuring a blend of impactful speakers, integrated learning, networking, and of course epic parties.
Referring to the conference’s acronym, Engel & Völkers Americas CEO Anthony Hitt said: “A lot of people think the ‘X’ stands for ‘exchange’ because that’s what this [conference] used to be called. A lot think it’s for ‘experience’ because this is the EV experience. I think it’s for ‘extreme’ because when you people get together, this is extreme!”
Approximately 1,500 attendees gathered at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel to hear about the brokerage’s new initiatives to elevate the brand and hear from expert Engel & Völkers advisers about tips for succeeding in today’s market.
Day 1: The first day was reserved for arrival, registration and most of all reconnecting with the other members for the Americas network. In the evening there had been two events, the Private Office Dinner, reserved for Private Office Advisors only, and for the rest a welcoming party to mix and mingle.
Day 2: The day was filled with interesting updates from the network, leadership learning sessions, keynotes, the digital experience hub and most of all – the reveal of the new brand identity of Engel & Völkers for which also Global CEO of Engel & Völkers, Sven Odia, joined the EVX.
After about two years in development, the refresh or refinement – not to be confused with a rebrand – was unveiled. It will elevate the Engel & Völkers brand identity with a new, proprietary font, an expanded color palette, an updated Engel & Völkers villa graphic that features the motto “Dum Spiro Spero,” which translates to “While I breathe, I hope” and complementary network assets.
The day ended in the Welcome Reception. Dresscode was “all in white”. It was followed by an exuberant party in the Fontaine ballroom.
Day 3: The third day was filled with RED talks, breakout sessions about different topics like “How to generate 100 content ideas in 45 minutes” or “The power of PR” and at the end of the day the EVA Awards Dinner and Ceremony, honoring the exceptional agents, teams and shops of Engel & Völkers Americas. What would an Engel & Völkers event be without one of the infamous after parties. Everyone had an amazing time together.
