More than 90,000 visitors from around the world
Engel & Völkers Santa Barbara has sponsored the 31st edition of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF). Film enthusiasts from around the globe converged on the California coastal city of Santa Barbara to celebrate their stars and watch the latest films. Just like in past years, Hollywood’s elite was also out in force; among the honorees were this year’s Oscar winners Brie Larson and Alicia Vikander, as well as the cast of the movie Spotlight, which won the Oscar for best film in 2016.
The team at Engel & Völkers Santa Barbara made sure festival visitors would remember them in the very best light. At the gala ceremony for the American Riviera Awards—which Spotlight director Tom McCarthy presented to Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel McAdams—the Engel & Völkers logo was clearly visible from the speaker’s podium and projected onto the stage.
“In addition to the logo on the speaker’s podium and on photo walls, it was a particularly special highlight for me to see the illuminated words ‘Engel & Völkers’ on the outside of the cinema,” reported License Partner Cam Gittler. “There were more than 90,000 visitors at the festival. This made it the perfect opportunity for us to advertise ourselves on the market,” Mrs. Gittler added.
During the two-week festival, the event organizers showed more than 200 films from over 60 countries, including 52 world premieres.
