The Cape Winelands District Municipality, formerly the Boland District Municipality, is a district municipality located in the Boland region of the Western Cape province of South Africa. As of 2011, it had a population of 787,490. The largest towns in the municipality are Paarl, Worcester, Stellenbosch and Wellington.
The Western Cape town of Paarl is lined with oak streets and vineyards, situated between the Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve and the grand Du Toit's Kloof mountains. Close to the convenience of city amenities and a mere 50 minutes from Cape Town International airport and 45 minutes from the lovely Strand or Blouberg beaches.
Paarl is especially appealing as it offers a slow-paced country lifestyle surrounded by beautiful historic buildings which currently house art galleries, restaurants, shops, guest houses and hotels.
