Actor, model, real estate agent - the everyday working life of Manuel Hasni is anything but boring. But is there really enough time to broker real estate and engage in a career in acting and modelling? In an interview, the 29-year-old reveals how acting, property valuations and time pressure go together and what role social media plays in all of this.
Between real estate and Instagram: Interview with actor Manuel Hasni
From Hamburg around the world... and back again.
In the face of so many different activities, it is easy to think that Manuel Hasni simply cannot make up his mind - but nothing could be farther from the truth. Even in his youth, he knew exactly what he wanted. When I was still at school I knew that I wanted to work in sales someday, in the end I opted for real estate.” Thus, the native of Hamburg applied to a local real estate company to be trained as a real estate agent in the commercial segment. “During this time, I gained a lot of experience in the commercial segment. I rented out office space and let and sold warehouse space, production space and specialist real estate. After successfully completing his training, Manuel Hasni followed his strong urge to travel and see the world. “I travelled around the world and worked as model in places like South Africa, Italy and Spain.” However, the 29-year-old always returned to his “home port”, as he lovingly refers to Hamburg.
Instagram and real estate
Manuel Hasni is now working as a real estate agent at the Engel & Völkers Market Center Hamburg Elbe. “In addition, I also work as a TV and movie actor, something I have been doing for several years. I was involved in various film productions, most recently as a doctor in a hospital TV series.” How does he find the time to reconcile these diverse activities? One of the tools Manuel Hasni uses for this purpose is social networks: “I predominantly use Instagram, also professionally. Only recently, I carried out a property valuation in Elbchaussee which was brought to me via Instagram.” Instagram is also an ideal platform for acting and modelling for various products and events. “I make a point of not separating my personal and professional life on Instagram so that potential clients can see how I live,” Manual Hasni explains, also mentioning the reason for his openness: “Pages that are purely for business are often not authentic and do not offer the client insights about the person behind it.” The visual focus of Instagram and the possibility to handle direct contact requests for all his professions are the main reasons why the real estate agent has specialised in the social media platform Instagram. “I can get client requests directly as a message when I mention a property in my Instagram story.” And the 29-year-old has no reason to complain about a lack of interest: today, he has 23,000 followers on Instagram.
Manuel Hasni on the digital journey of the real estate sector
Has the potential of social media been exhausted with regard to client requests and property presentations? For Manuel Hasni, the answer is clear: “There is still much that can be done. The generation that books services via social media is becoming increasingly relevant. These people are slowly coming of professional age.” Thus, Instagram, Facebook and similar will become even more important in the future.
