Sitges: Location and surroundings of this property

The wonderful town of Sitges is located south of Barcelona, just 35 minutes by highway or 40 minutes by train with high frequency, surrounded by the wonderful natural park of Garraf. It is a first class seaside and tourist town, with about 30,000 inhabitants, an enviable landscape and excellent commercial, hotel and restaurant services. It became popular as a place of luxury residence in the early twentieth century, when many "indianos" (businessmen who had rescued their fortunes from the former colony of Cuba) built their palaces in neoclassical or romantic style. It is a town with a very active cultural life, including its famous International Fantastic Film Festival, attended every year by many celebrities, and its popular Carnival, the most visited in Catalonia.
