Jitender Vashist has been appointed new CEO of Engel & Völkers Technology GmbH with immediate effect. Over the coming years, Engel & Völkers will be vastly increasing its investment in new technologies. This is primarily aimed at offering clients, but also agents, key benefits in the future. In this regard, the company is expanding its management team at Engel & Völkers Technology GmbH. In addition to Jitender Vashist, Christian Henk has been recruited as the new Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Engel & Völkers Technology.
As CEO, Jitender Vashist will be responsible for the strategic direction and conception of the Engel & Völkers digital system platform, with the aim of developing and implementing the very best products for its users. The focus will be on intelligent algorithms and learning systems that effectively support the growth of the brokerage business.
As Chief Technology Officer, Jitender Vashist has been instrumental in the market launch of MOIA’s ride sharing service since 2017. Here, he led the technology, product and organisational development operations. In particular, he was responsible for recruiting new talent and forming motivated and high-performing teams. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Media Informatics), he began his career in 2002 as an IT consultant and has since held various managerial positions, including at Bauer Media Group and Opodo, one of Europe's largest travel providers.
In his role as CPO, Christian Henk will drive forward both new and ongoing development initiatives of Engel & Völkers digital products. From 2016 to 2019, he worked for the Swiss real estate portal Homegate. Besides his main position as CPO, he took care of strategic partnerships with financial service providers and insurance companies. Prior to this, he was responsible for all B2B and B2C products of the real estate portal Immobilienscout Deutschland for more than five years.
