Chalandri is one of the Municipalities of Attica, in the North
- East of the Athens Basin, at the Southwest foothills of
Mount Penteli. The area is known for its developed market,
with many shops located in the pedestrian center of the city
and businesses in Sidera Halandriou and Kifissias and Penteli
Avenues to attract staff both supra-local and from the wider
Municipality. The historic center is covered by extensive
sidewalks and bicycle paths, while the municipality extends
in a northeastern direction, connecting Athens with Mount
Penteliko. Modern public and private schools and
kindergartens serve the needs of residents. Local roads,
Kifissias and Mesogeion avenues, as well as Attiki Odos, the
Metro, the Suburban Railway and the Public Transport serve
the daily movements in every direction within the Basin. It is
