Description

Engel & Völkers is pleased to present this exceptional property for sale in a prestigious and quiet area of the Palace district, a grand upper-class apartment, under protection of the arts and crafts, even for art lovers. On 221 sqm, there is a reception space, 3 salons, 2 separate bedrooms, 1 separate dining room and kitchen, 2 bathrooms and additional restrooms. The apartment is walk-around, but there is also a separate entrance. The property is a historical rarity, as the apartment, built in 1910, was designed for a private medical practice of a bourgeois doctor, who continued his medical practice in one half of the 221 sqm property, and lived the daily life of a wealthy nobleman in the other half. The layout is in keeping with the era, with salons (including a ladies' salon), cigar rooms, internal balcony, working room, etc. The apartment is exceptional in that it was not subdivided into co-tenancies in the post-war era. The current owner has perfectly preserved the architectural design of the period in its original form with all the fixtures and fittings. The preserved condition of the apartment is impressive. There are also a number of art nouveau chronicles and photographs of the apartment dating from 1917. It is recommended to all executives in the countryside or abroad who may need a representative office in the Hungarian capital, where they can hold serious business meetings, negotiations and collaborations in a special atmosphere. An additional advantage of the property is that no hotel services are required for accommodation. Grab the opportunity now!

Location: District VIII, Budapest

The area of the Palace Quarter is a part of the VIII district of Budapest. The name is a direct continuation of Pest's city centre, the area bordered to the east behind the National Museum, where aristocrats, noblemen and wealthy citizens began to have luxurious palaces and mansions built by renowned architects as permanent residences. Most of the buildings were built between about 1860 and 1900, when the area was known as the Palace Quarter. Since December 2007, the Palace District has been a sub-district within the District VIII Municipality, whose name and boundaries were officially established.
