Description
Set in the peaceful countryside of Algaida in the heart of Mallorca, this authentic finca occupies a generous plot of approximately 14,245 m². The property combines a high degree of privacy with mature Mediterranean gardens and attractive views towards the Tramuntana mountains.
With approximately 455 m² of built area, the property offers an unusually generous basis for an individual renovation and redesign. The existing house comprises seven rooms, including four bedrooms, one bathroom, several terraces and an open gallery leading to a rooftop terrace. A fireplace adds warmth and character to the traditional setting.
The property requires renovation, while at the same time offering considerable scope to create a home tailored to the future owner's requirements. The existing structure and traditional character provide an interesting starting point for combining contemporary living standards with the atmosphere of an authentic Mallorcan finca. An existing interior design concept, including visualisations, is also available and can serve as inspiration or as a basis for further development.
One of the property's main features is its mature outdoor setting. The park-like gardens have developed over many years and are home to a diverse Mediterranean landscape, including mature palms, oleanders, hibiscus, yuccas, as well as orange, lemon and olive trees. A swimming pool complements the outdoor area and provides a private place to relax during the summer months.
The extensive grounds offer plenty of space and will particularly appeal to buyers looking for privacy, nature and generous outdoor areas. From various points on the property, there are attractive and largely unobstructed views across the surrounding countryside towards the Tramuntana mountains.
The property also includes a carport and a separate garage. The garage offers interesting potential for an individual usage.
The finca is connected to the public electricity network. Water gets delivered by a trolley when required. The generous plot and location also offer interesting potential for the installation of a photovoltaic system.
This finca is an appealing opportunity for buyers looking for an authentic Mallorcan property with extensive grounds, privacy and considerable potential for individualisation, while retaining the character and setting of a traditional country estate.
The small village of Algaida is nestled in the lowlands between Palma and Manacor. The old windmills that dot the village and its surroundings dominate the landscape, and are the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the name of the village. Off the beaten tourist track, Algaida receives only a small number of tourists all year round compared to the huge tourist centres of the island. It is one of the best places on the island to soak up authentic Mallorcan culture, especially if you are looking for quality local gastronomy. Algaida is made up of three urban centres: Algaida, with around 4,500 inhabitants, Pina, with around 500 inhabitants, and Randa, with just over 100 inhabitants. The highlight of the village is the Puig de Randa, a hill of 543 metres high and on its summit is the Santuario de Cura, a natural and cultural space that is part of the island's heritage, known as the famous philosopher Ramon Llull spent time in its sanctuary. It has several supermarkets, restaurants and cafés, a pharmacy, and a sports centre. The beautiful village decorated with sand-coloured Mediterranean style houses is only 20 minutes away from the nearest beaches and the airport, and 30 minutes away from the centre of Palma.
