All Portuguese licence partners come together at joint trade fair stand
Around 220 new contacts and 16 valuation appointments
“There isn’t yet a Market Center in Portugal that residential property shops could profit from thanks to
faster market penetration and the resulting rise in brand awareness. So all Portuguese E&V partners
instead came together to leave behind a lasting impression at the ‘Salão Imobiliário de Portugal’ and
generate attention and interest,” reported Maria Angeles Gomez, Marketing Manager for Portugal and
Spain, who helped with the organisation. The “Salão Imobiliário de Portugal” is the largest and most
important property trade fair in Portugal, and all key players in the industry are represented there. It
took place from 5 to 9 October in Lisbon.
“Visitors came to the stand and were pleasantly surprised that E&V shops outside of Lisbon were also
there. The joint trade show appearance gave us the perfect opportunity to show that Engel & Völkers
is one of the ‘big players’ in Portugal too, and to expand our network,” said Vera Tavares, Expansion
Manager. One objective of being at the trade show was to increase the visibility of Engel & Völkers in
Portugal – an objective that was reached. The aim was of course also to acquire new clients. Licence
partners spoke with many potential clients at the approx. 80 m2 stand and made around 220 new
contacts. They also arranged 16 valuation appointments during the show itself. The expansion of
business relations was also on the agenda though. The licence partners were approached by
numerous banks and other property companies, with a view to arranging cooperation deals.
More than 50,000 visitors attended the “Salão Imobiliário de Portugal”. On a trade show floor spanning
more than 12,000 m2, 300 exhibitors presented services and products relating to all aspects of
architecture, urban planning, construction and financing.
