Santanyí: Location and surroundings of this property

In the extreme Southeast of Mallorca, about 56 km from Palma, you will find Santanyi. The village in theSoutheast, with its nearly 12,000 inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful in Mallorca. The houses are built in the original Majorcan style with their typical Maréssandstone. In the center there are many small shops where you can find extraordinary fashion, jewelery and decorative items. Every Wednesday and Saturday is market day, which runs through the entire center. Here you can enjoy the hustle and bustle on one of the most beautiful markets of the island. Alquería Blanca is a very sympathetic village that, due to its charm and its friendly habitants, is a popular place to stay and is located in a hilly area. There are cozy bars and restaurants around the little "Plaza". Every Tuesday there is a small weekly market where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, olives, tomatoes and flowers as well as clothing, leather and jewelery. The Mondrago Natural Park offers two beautiful bays and is located in the immediate vicinity of Santanyi. The Vall d'Or golf course, a small but appealing landscaped area with fantastic views of the sea, is about 10 minutes driveaway from Santanyí. Among the most beautiful beaches in the area of Santanyi are the Cala Lombards, the Calo des Moro, the Cala S'Almunia and S'Amarador. A few minutes drive from Santanyi is the Cala Santanyi, where the crystal-clear water falls gently and the beach is perfect for families.
