Deià: Location and surroundings of this property

Directly on the edges of the Tramuntana mountain range, close to the northwest coast of Mallorca, lies Deià. The fascinating small town with its imposing, original stone houses lies on 400 meters above sea level at the 1064 meter high Puig de Teix. The idyllic landscape around the mountain village is characterized by stones, olive trees, rushing wild brooks and the unspoiled coast that surrounds it. Only 700 inhabitants have Deià, which borders on the municipalities of Sóller, Valldemossa and Bunyola.The town is divided into three zones: the upper one, situated on the hill, the middle one parallel to the road Valldemossa-Sóller and the lower one, es clot, which is the core of the town. The name Deià is derived from Arabic and means "field" or "village".
